FAQ

Where is the studio located?

Studio is located in High Street, Maitland.

What is the recommended age for a newborn session?

Studio newborn sessions are up to 3 months of age but are best held the first few weeks after your little one is born. Recommended age is between 5 to 21 days. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be held after 6 weeks post birth.

Are family included?

Parents, partners, grand parents and siblings are included and welcome to participate in all newborn sessions.

What is included in the session?

All sessions include full access to a large collection of props, backdrops, wraps, outfits, dresses, gowns, headbands, tiebacks, crowns and more. All clients will receive a newborn preparation guide and personal customisation of all sessions excluding lifestyle will be provided.

When will my photos be received?

Proof galleries are provided within 7 to 14 days post your session. The final galleries are provided within 7 to 14 days of selection being received. Request for early release can be requested but are subject to the photographer's discretion.

Can I purchase additional images?

Additional images can be purchased at proof gallery selection stage and quoted at time of selection. Additional images are charged as follows:
On-location: $20 per image includes colour & copy BW or discounted full gallery option
Studio: Vary on number of images purchased and quoted at time of proof gallery. Heavily discounted full gallery option also available.

can my package be upgraded at proof gallery selection stage?

Packages are secured at time of booking and cannot be changed once the session has been held. It is important to consider your package inclusions prior to your scheduled session.

HOW DO I BOOK?

A $100 non-refundable deposit will secure a session booking. There are limited spots available each month for newborn sessions and it is recommended to book to secure a spot prior to your baby being born.

how are sessions scheduled?

Once your $100 deposit is paid, your session is reserved and a tentative session date is booked. All clients are requested to contact the photographer within 48 hours of birth (where possible) to reconfirm your session booking.

Locations outside a 30 minute drive of Maitland are subject to an additional travel fee starting from $50. Travel fee will be quoted at time of booking.

What is the difference between soft & professional editing?

Lifestyle editing (soft editing) does not include skin retouching services including but not limited to - colour corrections of skin tone, removal of flaky skin or skin corrections to blemishes/pimples/acne. Lifestyle portraits are very natural. Skin retouching services can be requested but are subject to an additional fee per image as per the photographer's discretion.
Professional retouching services for studio newborn sessions (excluding lifestyle) includes skin retouching, colour corrections, removal of flaky skin, and corrections to blemishes/pimples and acne.

What is a relaxed lifestyle newborn session?

This is either an in-home or in-studio newborn session. The session will include the following poses:
- 1 neutral outfit on baby or loose swaddled wrap for family photos & sibling photos
- relaxed newborn positioning on white blanket either in chosen outfit or naked
- breastfeeding photo available in a peacock chair (optional)
- baby posed in ratten basket and/or bassinet
IMPORTANT: This session does not include full access to studio prop collection. The session strictly uses only lifestyle collection props that are neutral toned and selected by the photographer. Requests for additional prop usage or specific poses will not be facilitated in this booking.

What times are sessions held?

Maternity sessions in studio are held between 9am and 6pm.
On-location maternity sessions are held at golden hour (one hour before or after sunset).
Newborn sessions are held weekdays from Monday to Friday. Weekend requests are subject to a weekend loading of $50 per session request.

How long is a full newborn session?

Full newborn session including family & sibling photos, 2+3 blanket/naked poses & 3~4 prop poses typically takes approximately 2 hours. Full newborn session booking is scheduled for a 2.5 hour period to allow for additional settling as required.

What payment methods do you accept and do you have payment plans?

Payment can be made by debit, credit or cash. Interest free payment plans are also available through square payments.
